Snowmen, kittens and hot tubs

We  had a really nice time in Santa Fe relaxing and hot tubbing!  We stayed in an Adobe house in the hills 7000 feet above sea level.  Adobe houses are built in a traditional Pueblo Indian style with a flat roof and thick walls with curved edges.  They are rendered with cement mixed with local sand or clay and are the colour of the local earth.  The houses are really cool and different.
Drew and I built a snowman, it took quite a long time and it was heaps of fun.  After lunch we decided to make some more, we made 8 snowmen altogether including two that melted!  It was really sunny and suprisingly not that cold so we played in the snow all day.  To warm up we went in the hot tub out doors, it was really relaxing sitting in the warm water looking at the stars.
A kitten walked up to our doorstep and kept playing with Drew and I.  When we went inside it tiptoed into the house quietly behind us and made itself at home.  The kitten sat by the kitchen table and we gave it some turkey and then it explored around the house going under the beds and behind the curtains.  Its next cheeky move was to jump onto my bed and fall asleep in the sun.  It slept for most of the day and then followed us back outside to help make more snowmen.  The kitten was really cute and mischievous!  Hannah
