Canyon Road, Santa Fe

Santa Fe is a really arty place, there are lots of galleries all along the streets selling statues, paintings, furniture, pottery and folk art.  We  walked along Canyon Road where the local artists show all their work.  It was very interesting walking along looking at all their creations.  My favorite things were the bronze statues especially a life sized pair of bears sleeping in the sun - one with a bee on its nose and the other had a bee on its ear.
There were heaps of other statues such a deer, cowboys, children, scissors, heads, American Indians and lots of animals.  We went into a Folk Art Gallery and the lady had her pet dog named Alfie inside.  He was friendly and cute and we all played with him for a while.  The shop owner had read a book all about Karri trees and the Tree Top walk in Walpole.  It's a small world!  Hannah
