Antelope Canyon, Page Arizona

Antelope canyon is such a beautiful place to visit, it is located in Navajo Indian land in Arizona.  To visit the canyon you have to be taken by a Navajo guide.  When we got to the meeting point we got into the back of the ute of a big F250 truck and set off to Upper Antelope Canyon.  The tour guide said that we would be four wheel driving on a bumpy, boggy track for about 10 minutes, the ride was bumpy but we enjoyed it!
Antelope canyon formed by streams of water and flash flooding rapidly going through gaps in the rocks over centuries causing spectacular and eerie rock formations.  The reason it is called Antelope canyon is because of the Pronghorn Antelope that used to roam freely across the land.  To the Navojo indians the canyon is a holy place of protection and respect.  It gives them a feeling of being at one with mother nature, experiencing her grandness and it allows them to be in harmony with something greater than themselves, it is a spiritual experience.
Antelope Canyon was spectacular, it blows my mind how something like water can shape stone and create wonderful sights like this.  After visiting Antelope we saw Glen Canyon.  It was formed by the Colorado River.  It has a steep drop down to the river and winds for miles and miles through the countryside.  Drew
