Washington D.C.

In Washington we had a delicious lunch at Potbelly Submarine Sandwiches.  It was so busy because it's such a popular place because of all the yummy food.  We had a giant pickle each, they were only $1.00!
We visited the American Indian Museum and learnt all about the people who are indigenous to America.  There were lots of displays of their artworks, writings about American Indian beliefs and symbols.  We also saw canoes, clubs, axes, moccasins, toys and clothing.
In the museum was a teepee, it felt cosy inside.  There were animal skins as mats, a fire in the middle, pots, mugs and carved bowls, animal shaped flutes and lots, lots more.  It looked like a really comfortable home.
We built an igloo, you had to line up the blocks in the right shapes till you made it to the top.  The top blocks stayed up by the weight of each other holding them together to stop them caving in. I thought the museum was displayed really well and was interesting.  Hannah
