Pantheon

On Tuesday we visited the Trevi Fountain which was sadly under restoration and was covered in scaffolding.  Even though it was under restoration it was still amazing to see as it is huge and very detailed.  People were still throwing coins into the fountain even though there was no water.
The Pantheon is the oldest whole still standing building in Rome.  It was finished being built in 125 AD.  The Pantheon looks super old on the outside but when you go in all the marble and statues look like they're new despite being almost 2000 years old.  Since the dome is so huge even the tiniest whisper turns into a giant echo.  The paintings and statues were really impressive.   Drew
